Accounts and Partnerships Lead
We're looking for a senior, commercially-minded Accounts and Partnerships Lead to own the relationships and process for engaging new and existing institutional accounts, as well as strategic partnerships.
Who We Are
Silicon Data builds the data infrastructure for the global compute economy.
As demand for AI infrastructure accelerates, compute is becoming a tradable asset class. Silicon Data provides price transparency, benchmarking, and standardized market indices that let participants discover price, manage risk, and make data-driven decisions across the compute supply chain.
Our indices and data powers decisions for hedge funds and financial institutions trading compute exposure, AI companies managing infrastructure cost, and data centers optimizing asset utilization. We are backed by leading global trading firms including DRW and Jump Trading, Valor Atreides AI Fund (VAAI), and we recently partnered with CME Group to launch the first-ever compute futures market built on Silicon Data's indices.
The Role
This is our first hire specifically dedicated to account and partnership management. You will inherit our current client list, made up of leading hedge funds, trading firms, and semiconductor builders and you'll own both the relationships and the system that grows them.
Equally important is the partnership side: the exchanges, distributors, cloud and neocloud providers, brokers, and hardware manufacturers whose data makes our indices better and whose channels put our products in more hands.
You'll work directly with the CEO and leadership team to set and execute the strategy, from first conversation to signed agreement to long-term account ownership.
What You'll Do
Own the institutional account base end-to-end — onboarding, retention, expansion, and renewals across hedge funds, quant firms, banks, AI companies, cloud providers, and data centers.
Systematize go-to-market. Build the pipeline, playbook, deal frameworks, pricing discipline, and operating cadence that let commercial activity scale past what any one person can carry.
Source, structure, and negotiate complex commercial agreements: data licensing, index and benchmark licensing for derivatives and structured products, distribution deals, and strategic data-sharing arrangements.
Open the market-maker and derivatives channel alongside the CME Group partnership, and build the relationships that support a liquid compute futures market.
Deepen data partnerships that improve the breadth, granularity, and quality of the inputs powering our indices and analytics
Translate the market into product, working with data science, product, and engineering to turn client and partner needs into a roadmap, including research products and new datasets that strengthen our position against competing research providers.
Required Qualifications
8+ years in commercial roles across alternative data, market data, or financial information with meaningful time in client strategy, account management, or data sourcing/licensing.
A track record of scaling revenue at an early or growth-stage data business. You've been early enough to build the function, not just inherit it.
Deep fluency with buy-side clients. You know how hedge funds, quant firms, and asset managers evaluate, diligence, onboard, and renew data including compliance, data governance, and procurement realities.
Demonstrated partnership sourcing and structuring, especially with counterparties who don't yet see themselves as data vendors.
Outstanding communication and executive presence
Comfort in a small, fast-moving, early-stage environment with high autonomy
Preferred Qualifications
Experience at an alternative data provider, market-data vendor, exchange, or the data strategy / sourcing function of a hedge fund.
Knowledge of GPUs, AI infrastructure, and the compute ecosystem (clouds, neoclouds, data centers, hardware).
Experience with index/benchmark licensing or derivatives businesses, and familiarity with benchmark administration and governance as the index business matures.
An existing network across financial institutions, exchanges, cloud/data-center operators, or AI infrastructure.
Quantitative or economics training, or comparable comfort with pricing and methodology detail.
Why Join Silicon Data
Define a new asset class. Compute is becoming the most important commodity of the decade, and you'll build the commercial layer underneath it.
Real ownership from day one. This is the first dedicated commercial hire — you own the accounts, the partnerships, and the system, reporting directly to the CEO.
Proof the market is real. CME Group, Bloomberg distribution, and backing from DRW and Jump Trading — you're not selling a thesis, you're scaling one that's already landed.
Senior, technical team. Small team, fast feedback loops, high autonomy, and a culture that values technical rigor, transparency, and a builder mindset.
Competitive compensation including meaningful equity, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
Silicon Data is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and are committed to building a team as diverse as the markets we serve.
